He graduated from WVU in 2019 and went on to receive his masters from Virginia Commonwealth University in forensic science. Since then, he has been working as a Forensic DNA Technician at the Armed Forces DNA Identification Laboratory (AFDIL) in Dover, DE. Aiding the mission to recover the remains of our soldiers and help ID them using DNA analysis methodology.

"Where to even start… I am the proud first founding member of this professional fraternity. I first had the idea while looking up biology-based organizations online, and came across BPO my sophomore year. I reached out to the national executive board inquiring about starting a chapter here at WVU, but completely forgot about it. It wasn’t until mid junior-year that I had received word back from them and how excited they were to help start a chapter at WVU. I took the initiative of becoming the founder and president of our esteemed fraternity, and with the assistance of my fellow biology peers, we were able to create something special for anyone to be a part of. Biology is such a broad field, and I love this fraternity not only because it is a co-ed professional opportunity, but also because of the diversity and knowledge it brings with each new member, and the lasting friendships it brings. I am so happy I decided to put my heart into founding this home for WVU biology-minded students to come together as one brotherhood and am so proud of everyone keeping this legacy strong. My favorite memory would probably have to be just getting to have my own family and make our own traditions. My little, David, is my pride and joy and really helped me get through a tough senior year. I would spontaneously pick him up and kidnap him to get applebee’s with another brother and would just have the greatest time being goofy. That bond would have never been formed without this fraternity and I just wish nothing but the best for everyone who wants to join this comradery. We all graduate or move on from college one day, and it’s nice to know that you’ll not only always have friends, family, and a home to fall back on, but memories too and I will be forever thankful for all BPO has provided for us. Love y’all."

THANK YOU BRIAN!
