Aiyana-Mei was a part of our Gamma class, she majored in biology at WVU and is currently completing her masters in infectious diseases and microbiology at the University of Pittsburgh. In the future, she hopes to work for a private industry lab like Pfizer, J&J or Regeneron.

"I joined BPO to meet other undergrads who also shared my interest in science. I ended up meeting new people from different backgrounds - biochemistry, exercise physiology, microbiology - and made lifelong friendships. I developed confidence in my scientific career and was supported 110% by my brothers and sisters. And now, i’ve been able to meet other BPO alumni from other chapters and universities and it’s really cool to see the larger family i’m a part of!"
